Chris joined the Orange for his first season in 2021-22 after spending five years as the Head Coach at Oswego State with their Division I ACHA Program.  In his time at Oswego, Timmons coached the Lakers to just over 50 wins across 4 seasons and led Oswego to an NECHL Conference Championship appearance in his final season.

He earned his 100th career coaching win on November 22nd, 2025 against Stony Brook University. In his most recent season with Syracuse, Timmons coached the Orange to 12 wins which included a win over #2 ranked Adrian College.

In his playing career at Oswego from 2010-2014 the West Islip, NY native racked up over 100 career ACHA points - still good for second all-time in the program's history. The standout forward was named captain in his senior and graduate year seasons. Chris graduated from Oswego State in 2014 with a Masters degree in Accounting.

Chris currently resides in Camillus, NY and is an auditor at a local accounting firm.
