Syracuse University Club Fencing is a club sport organization aiming to train, instruct, compete and enjoy fencing as a group. The club welcomes fencers of all skill levels and fences all three weapons: foil, épée and sabre. No experience is necessary! If you've never fenced before, Club Fencing will teach you all the basics! No equipment? No worries! The club provides all the equipment needed to practice. Club members can also purchase and bring their own equipment, and they can check in equipment to keep safely on-site.
Club Fencing is now proudly affiliated with the United States Association of Collegiate Fencing Clubs (USACFC). This partnership allows Syracuse University Club Fencing to host USACFC events, recognize earned ratings and support the development of fencing at the collegiate club level. Additionally, club members are eligible to participate in USACFC National Championships. This affiliation enhances the club's opportunities and provides a pathway for club fencers to compete in officially sanctioned USA fencing tournaments.
Syracuse University Club Fencing hosts two home tournaments at Syracuse University and attend two fencing competitions in local and regional fencing clubs and universities, such as Ithaca College, Binghamton University, Rochester Institute of Technology and more! Competing is optional but encouraged.
