David Hadlow was a goaltender and transformational leader for Syracuse University Men’s Hockey during a critical period in the early 1970s. Serving as president and player-coach, he played a central role in stabilizing and rebuilding the program, helping to improve its financial footing, expand recruiting efforts, and increase overall visibility. His leadership helped ensure the program’s survival and set the stage for future growth.

After graduating, Hadlow built a career in sales, including work in medical equipment and commercial security. Beyond his professional life, he remained deeply committed to community involvement, particularly through youth sports, where he coached and mentored young athletes for many years. His legacy is defined by leadership, service, and a lasting impact on the Syracuse hockey program.

Hadlow was also honored with the Van Winkle Award in 2020.
