Jon Gardner was a versatile and physical player for Syracuse University Men’s Hockey from 1996 to 2001, transitioning from defense to power forward during his career. Known for his size, strength, and offensive production, Gardner steadily improved each season, culminating in a standout senior year. As co-captain, he played a key role in guiding the program through a transition to new facilities, including contributing to the first goal in Tennity Ice Pavilion history.

After Syracuse, Gardner pursued a career in education, working with special needs students and bringing energy and enthusiasm to his role. He has also built a long-standing coaching career alongside his twin brother, mentoring young athletes and giving back to the hockey community. His passion for the game and commitment to leadership continue to define his impact both on and off the ice.
