JR LaPointe was a prolific forward and team leader for Syracuse University Men’s Hockey from 2013 to 2016, serving as co-captain his senior year. One of the top offensive players of his era, he recorded 146 career points, including 80 goals, and was a key contributor to multiple championship teams and national tournament appearances. Known for his scoring ability and leadership, LaPointe was a driving force in the team’s success.

After graduating, LaPointe launched a career in the medical device industry, progressing into a leadership role while working closely with physicians and patients. He has remained active in hockey through both ice and roller leagues, continuing to compete at a high level. His dedication to the sport and his professional success reflect the same work ethic and leadership that defined his Syracuse career.
