Jack Braim was a foundational figure in the earliest days of Syracuse University Men’s Hockey, contributing both as a skilled defenseman and a key leader during the program’s formation. As one of the original members of the Syracuse University Hockey Association, Braim played a critical role in organizing and developing the team, stepping into the role of captain while others focused on administrative leadership. His presence helped establish the structure and identity of the program in its infancy.

On the ice, Braim was known for his well-rounded game, combining strong defensive play with the ability to contribute offensively. Teammates described him as an excellent skater and stickhandler, with the talent and physical tools to compete at a high level. His involvement extended beyond Syracuse, including time playing with the local semi-professional Syracuse Stars. For both his individual accomplishments and his foundational role in building the program, Braim is rightfully recognized as a member of the Hall of Fame Class of 2024.
