Ken Fry was an exceptional skater and natural playmaker whose skill and leadership helped define an era of Syracuse University Men’s Hockey. A native of Western Massachusetts, Fry combined speed, vision, and technical ability to become a key contributor on one of the program’s most productive lines alongside Mike Pace and Greg Craybus. Despite his smaller stature, Fry’s agility and hockey IQ allowed him to excel against larger opponents, making him both a scoring threat and a reliable setup man.

A leader both on and off the ice, Fry served as a co-captain during his junior and senior years and played an integral role in fostering a team-first culture that emphasized hard work and accountability. He was a key member of the 1989–1990 championship team and is a two-time Hall of Fame inductee. His influence extended beyond Syracuse, as he carried the leadership and discipline he developed through hockey into successful careers in golf and medical device sales. Fry’s legacy as both a player and leader secures his place in the Hall of Fame Class of 2023.
