Nick Pierandri transformed Syracuse University Men’s Hockey into a nationally competitive program during his tenure as head coach from 2013 to 2018. With a vision of building a top-tier club team, he led Syracuse to multiple league championships, national tournament appearances, and consistent top-20 rankings. Under his leadership, the program achieved over 100 wins and established itself as a respected force within the ACHA, while also transitioning into a more competitive league to elevate its level of play.

Beyond wins and accolades, Pierandri’s impact extended to the overall structure and professionalism of the program. He emphasized academic success, team culture, and organizational development, helping to expand operations in areas such as marketing, broadcasting, and alumni relations. His commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes and building a sustainable program left a lasting legacy. For his leadership, vision, and transformative influence, Pierandri is rightfully inducted into the Syracuse University Men’s Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2023.

Coach Pierandri was also honored with the Van Winkle Award in 2025.
