Erick Krug was a standout goaltender and cornerstone of Syracuse University Men’s Hockey from 1987 to 1991. A four-year starter, he served as the team’s primary netminder and was widely regarded as one of the best goalies in the league. His performance was instrumental in the team’s 1989–1990 championship season, where his consistency and reliability anchored the team’s success.

Beyond his on-ice accomplishments, Krug was known for his leadership, mentorship, and dedication to the program. He remained actively involved after graduation, supporting the team and fostering a strong sense of community among players. Remembered as both an exceptional athlete and person, his legacy continues to resonate within the Syracuse hockey family.
