Jeremy Bovay was a highly skilled forward whose talent and competitive spirit made him one of the most impactful players of his era at Syracuse University Men’s Hockey. After beginning his collegiate career at SUNY-Canton, Bovay transferred to SUNY-ESF and quickly became a key contributor, joining Jon Gardner and Jaime Stasko to form the high-powered “Edward Line.” Known for his stickhandling, skating ability, and offensive production, Bovay helped lead one of the most dangerous scoring units in program history.

Beyond his on-ice success, Bovay played a major role in strengthening team culture and camaraderie, contributing to the continuation of the “Hockey House” tradition and fostering strong bonds among teammates. After Syracuse, he transitioned into a career in education, becoming a dedicated science teacher while remaining connected to hockey through coaching and skill development. His passion for teaching—both in the classroom and on the ice—reflects the same commitment and leadership that defined his playing career, earning him a place in the Hall of Fame Class of 2023.
