Vic DiMaria was a dynamic and determined forward whose impact on Syracuse University Men’s Hockey was felt both in his play and his passion for the game. Growing up on Long Island, DiMaria developed his love for hockey from an early age, eventually honing his skills in competitive travel leagues before continuing his career at Syracuse. A versatile forward capable of playing center and wing, he brought a scrappy, high-energy style to the ice, using his speed and positioning to create scoring opportunities and challenge defenders.

DiMaria made an immediate impact during the 1976–1977 season, playing a key role in leading Syracuse to its first Finger Lakes Collegiate Hockey League championship. His standout playoff performance included a hat trick in the championship game, earning him league MVP honors. Beyond his collegiate career, DiMaria maintained a lifelong connection to the game through coaching, competitive play, and community involvement. His contributions as both a player and ambassador to hockey make him a proud inductee into the Syracuse University Men’s Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2023.
